Not the perfect year as I was hoping to be.. still some things to sort out before I can declare this project complete. But at least the Speciale is back in one piece! :) I got to ride it after five loooong years and once I sort this electric glitch it will be dyno time! Thank you all for the support, I wish everyone a Happy New Year...after all this baby is turning 20 in 2019!!

Trying to sort the issues with the Ignitech ECU I decided to talk to Gabro and sent the unit to Italy so he can have a look. It turns out the unit is perfectly fine and even works great with the map provided my a Swedish racer to test. For some reason it will not work properly with my setup!! CryCryCry

Gabro made me a custom hubrid chip to try and the bike now works much better. Still the fuel is not perfect but we will sort this out together with Gabro.

The bike is rich in the middle of the rev range and probably a little lean on the top. BUT the power is massive now! You can feel the speed building up and I had some moments when tried to brake after hard accelerations TongueTongueTongueTongueTongueBig smile

Nice to see another Smalt system. Know people have mixed opinions but on mine it gave the best results by far even over the holy grail Evo6 on my Gen2
Speaking of Akrapovics the carbon exhaust straps fit the Smaltmoto cans if you fancy more carbon. You will need the rubber strip you’ve already got with the aluminium straps to fill them out and make them snug however

Still work in progress but so far the result have exceeded my expectations. The first Dyno run without any modifications in Gabro's chip was super rich in fuel but still managed 140 rear wheel horsepower.

This is where we are so far with the tuning of fuel and ignition. Not bad for an old lady!
There are still some things to try - a little more aggressive ignition map - but it seems that it could definitely use more air and different cam timing.
