i bought the complete gen2 set up from a friend - the cans are dent free but are in need of a general freshen up.

does sound great though :)

now its all sorted i will be looking to sell the (modded) original exhaust

im leaving the motor basically stock on this bike.
im building a bigbore gen2 motor up for my RSVR,  but i keep getting offered bits so cheap that the build keeps getting put off!!

i now have 2 sets of gen2 heads (2004 and 2005) ported and ready to go - now i have just agreed to buy a complete 2007 motor from a friend for £50! - bigger valves and stronger camshafts.

hopefully that motor will be delivered tomorrow and i can get the front head off to my machinist tomorrow afternoon to mill it out so the gen1 cam cover fits then hopefully i can start building the motor up next weekend then fit it to my new to me 2004 gen1 frame then swap over all my rsvr bits to it.

then to build a lowered tuono with all the left over bits for my wife

yeah, thats the one - the one i said that i didnt need to do anything to as it was perfect as it was :)

now has proper oz wheels, sigma slipper clutch, gen2 clutch master, factory pro slave, custom eprom, evo airbox, PFM discs - the list just keeps growing

OH ARSE!!

stripped the 2007 motor and found that the output shaft bearings had collapsed, the bearings worked their way through the gearbox and destroyed a few teeth on the shafts and deposited loads of metal filings into the oil which then worked its way through the bearings of the engine - camshaft bearing surfaces are totalled - the oil pump looked like it had been shot blasted!

oh well, i salvaged the cases, rotor, clutch pack (somehow the plates are fine) pistons and barrels.
