officially 520mls per leg but you won't get that much in there unless your stripping the fork as not every drop will come out. Best to go by air gap than quantity

Hi is air gap the measurement from top of fork to oil level and if so do you know what that should be. I'm changing the damper rods but don't really know what I'm doing. I have a Haynes manual for a zx9 and that's what I'm following. I undone bottom bolt and oil everywhere. Thanks for your help appreciate it .

Martin, join the forum's premium service for a fiver a year. It gets you access to download the service manual.
As a matter of interest, why are you replacing the damper rods?

People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.

The air gap is 118mm.  Never heard of anyone changing damper rods before though.

How ya but only checked in just there and seen post .I have 04 rsv and the fork legs corroded. It started with blisters and then all the metal just went to dust.i bought a second hand pair and one of the them has damage to damper and top nut so I'm going to put in ones from originals.im only just getting her ready after 2 years off when rear suspension pivot snapped on me.cant wait to get out again .I don't suppose you'd know anything about Speedo not working? Thanks a mill martin
