Had the calipers a while but the kit was off a c model and the 320mm discs were too small so wal at pfm kindly agreed to make me some 330mm.

That reminds of a mates glider repair workshop, he had the most amazing porn decorating the walls.Someone broke in one night and stole all his tools but he was more upset that they took all his wall art as well LOL

Back in the days of frame building, in the fabrication workshop, we had a wall of porn, that grew over the years -spawned by a single calendar. It kept the lads happy.

We had some welding curtains and frames, that we used to put in front of it, when customers would come in by appointment, to try the bike for size while dry built/ tacked together -before final welding, to check foot rest positions, make any changes and so on etc.

One day, my partner of some 9 years, dropped in to have me show her parents round and explain about how we did it all. I stood in front of one of the jigs, explaining various procedures. Her Mum had a face on like a smacked a*se and I couldn't figure out why Confused

It was about a week after that, with partner saying very little to me, that it dawned on me, not only were the curtains not in place, but I had my back to it, so they (her parents) were facing me and the very explicit wall the whole time. Embarrassed Oops. Shocked

Her Mum was an ardent and zealous feminist.

We split up a few weeks after that LOL Stern Smile

The old 4 pot Nissin calipers with different piston diameters, as fitted to GSXRs, Bandits and Triumphs take some beating

Got all the parts fitted and finally clearing everything, fitted some Gilles variobars with my spare Brembo radial mc and a Brembo rcs clutch perch with Rizoma res and a new ignition barrel. The pfm's are fantastic and the steering a hell of a lot quicker with the dymag's and dropping the forks 10mm through the yokes and also fitted a new chain and sprocket.

When these bikes came out I wouldn't of thanked you for one as they didn't have usd forks and a fancy swingarm etc and it didn't have that Italian flare, but when I was looking for something cheap about 4yrs ago this came up for £1800 and I couldn't turn it down and was going to sell it when I got my multistrada but couldn't bring myself to do it. The more I rode it the better it got and I realised how bloody good as a real world bike they are as it does everything you need while being able to carry a curry and chips under the seat

I had one from new. Last of the ZX9-R's . Absolutely loved it. I think you are spot on . For where we ride mostly , the road they are hard to beat I think.
Mate borrowed it and dropped it. Was a write off with just over 1500 miles on it.
Absolutely gutted. All paid for but no more available. I would have one back like a shot if I could find one for sensible money that's been loved.

Made me all teary seeing the pictures again.

:(

They really are a fantastic bike, quick, stable, reliable and very easy to service as you don't have to take anything off to change oil and filter and the suspension has grease nipples all over it and people sl*g Japanese bikes off.

Very tidy ain't it Hemi, and definitely a good price, the wheels and the exhaust nearly get you your money back...id be very tempted by that if i was after a good , useable stablemate for the T.
