Hi all, i am buying a 2008 registered Factory, which comes up on the vehicle check as a 2007 bike.

I wanted to check the colour schemes for 2007 and 2008.

The one i am buying is in great condition and has a silver polished frame, with ohlins all around etc.

The 2008 had the gold frame right?

Just checking if anybody had any images of the 2007 Factory as a double check?

Thanks

The gold frame has been on earlier bikes, my 2006 factory has one.
If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all

I didn't think any Factories had polished frame. Some later R's had Ohlins forks & Brembo radials but not the Ohlins shock or steering g damper. So e body panels were carbon too.

My 09 reg tuono factory skipped on the damper (not an ohlins one) unless someone nicked it in the shop .. don't think it does much any ways ?

Two colour schemes for 2007/2008 . Red Lion and All Black google image is your friend . Gold frames and gold OZ forged wheels on both . Ohlins front , rear, and steering damper, carbon hugger, front mudguard, side panels and front fairing inners. The decals on the tail of 07/08 bikes are not lacquered . The red lion bike which has a white tail and tank with red lions head came with red riders seat and pillion seat . The side fairings are two pieces , earlier bikes had one piece . The swing arm is silver anodised. The rear tyre on Factories was also a 55 section if I remember correctly. I've seen a few questionable bikes about on eBay and bike trader . If you look up the ad for the 08 reg 2007 I sold you should get a good pic of what a genuine 07/08 red lion looks like .

The V5 should have the word Factory included in the bike description .

Don't set to much store by Google Images as it is often inaccurate. If you post an image online with an incorrect image then Google will recognise that and treat it as fact! So the next person who comes along who doesn't know any better may treat it as gospel even when it is wholly incorrect. Internet information and pinch of salt and all that!
