Think shakey might struggle a bit with that Ducati. Ellison if he doesn't get some freak bad luck like usual and haslam. Maybe even Hickman!! That team could be very strong this year

I've been a big BSB fan for years and this season is gonna be a cracker, Kiyo is back on it, Ellison Haslem and Shakey looking strong, although a win straight away for that Ducati will be a tall order

I hope it ends up being a right ding dong fight to the wire with six or seven riders in the mix.
Still the best run series.

Me and my mates have booked flights from Southend to Groningen 30th sept to have a weekend on the piss at Assen round of Bsb. 50 quid return. I fancy Ellison this year. To win it I should clarify, not literally !

I absolutely love Assen, and have been 8 times. The 1st time in 1977, and the last about 8 yrs ago. I've only been for the GP's, and the nightlife in Assen is awesome. If the BSB round, is only half as good as the GP, it'll still be brilliant!
I'd like to have gone this weekend, but I'm working. My daughgter, and her boyfriend have gone for the weekend, thanks to Windy having to flog his tickets.

Horses for courses I think Mark I seem to recall even DJ in his TT pomp used to bring up the rear on short circuits. I think only Plater and Rutter out of the roads specialists have ever really shone on the short tracks It would be nice to see Jenny featuring on tv up near the front |

jenny Tinmouth will struggle because she finances most of the racing her self.
She has the ability, but as you know that counts for toss all if you don't have a proper package . Don't know why she doesn't attract more sponsorship. Maybe if she got a bit of a modeling contract she could bring more cash in.After all she's no dog biscuit is she! BSB races usual cut n thrust. Watched Moto GP too. Moto 3 & 2 providing the action. Watched Marquez around there.Very quick, and all over the show.Great.Danny Pedrossa taking Dovizioso out,Rossi down ,Crutchlow and quite a few others. After the first five or six laps it was boring. No scrapping apart from Viniaielez and aspagarrow on the Suzukis along with Reading. At last someone has had the idea of making a gearbox where you have neutral at the bottom of the box instead of in between 1st and 2nd . So you have 6 up or six down with a button operated solenoid controled blocking pin preventing you going out of gear. Who thought of that ? KTM !

I though Jenny had a good day she qualified 20th and took a couple of places in the first race. Had a nightmare in the second race as they couldn't start her bike on the grid so she started from the back. She rides for Honda this year as part of there team on the factory bike.

I'm pretty sure Jenny Tinmouth was on a Factory honda last year and again this year so she hasn't got any complaints about the machinery or back up, I like her as it goes and she is rapid at the TT,can't help feeling that the only reason she has been given that ride in BSB is down to her gender though but fair play for taking the chance, who wouldn't.

I'm definitely not knocking her, she is way faster than I could ever dream of being and, prior to the Honda ride, was out there week in, week out, doing it all off her own back and that alone deserves the utmost respect, I just think that if she wasn't female, she wouldn't have got that ride based on her previous performance in BSB, but beating Dunlop certainly shows she's no slouch.
I was well chuffed for Hickmann, I think he is going to be a real force on the roads this year and now in BSB as well, he just seems a real top bloke and has got some serious speed in him, check out his on board lap of Macau from a standing start..... Jesus wept it's mind-blowing.... |

Wicked isn't it.... Not much makes me think...."f**k me...." when I watch bike racing nowadays but when i saw that for the first time....wow..... Getting buzzed by him at a trackday would be cool as well, it's an eye opener just seeing some of the normal fast group boys so be funny seeing them get properly blitzed by a sneaky BSB winner |

Him and Michael Laverty were the guest instructors for our Pacedays Easter bash and they both spent a fair bit of time in our garage, top blokes both. I thought the racers and the other instructors were fast but when we stopped for dinner the big boys went out to play and those two really showed how to ride a GP circuit. Even when instructing Laverty was elbow surfing and Hicky was telling one of the really fast guys in our garage that you have to be fast enough to be afraid entering the corners,he was just coming off the brakes as he apexed. I thought on that basis I should be world class as I was bricking it at every corner |

Ha, i love that Line as well Seriously though, being properly fast on a bike, rather than just a nippy Road rider, is a totally different league isn't it, I'll never get even remotely close, top end of the inters is about me I think but I'm happy with that, love watching a proper fast bloke just grab a bike by the scruff of the neck and throw it about though and Mr Hickmann certainly does that and then some, just need Mr Stoner to do an about face now |

A total lack of imagination must help as well
Any right thinking person would know that if you come off at silly speeds that it's going to hurt and probably also be very expensive. The ability to ignore that and suppress the fear while twisting the grip harder is probably a talent best left to others I admire what others can do but I think I know my limits,or at least I have a good survival instinct. Nobody has ever been able to explain to me how to find the limits without actually going right over them |

So the story goes from her own lips. She was running an RS 125 and crashed it .Bike set on fire and wrecked her week end. She didn't know where the cash was going to come from to repair the bike and one of the Honda teams who were running a bike in the same class repaired the bike for her so she could compete . As a result of that incident she was asked to go and see Neil Tuxworth who supplied a bike and parts but she ran the rest. Up until this year she has been turning up to race meetings in her own Merc sprinter. It's clapped out . She runs her own bike shop and works on the bikes her self. This year i don't know , but the back up has been provided by her. Quite a robust character is Jenny. |

Hello Shyted, as said, I've nothing but the utmost respect for her and her efforts, she is an inspiration not just for her riding ability but also all of the effort she puts into actually working and going racing, now and previously.
I wasjust going by what I read in Mcn last year and this year she is listed as an official Honda rider on the official Honda BSB Facebook page and im sure I remembered reading last year that she was getting used to the difference between her Fireblade that she had been racing and the new Factory bike that she had to use now she was part of the Honda team,ie, may well be the same bike model etc but that was the only similarity. I'd love nothing more than to see her right up the sharp end and I hope it happens for her. |

Haha, well Yeh,I will give you that Ian, In this case though I'm sure they did a feature, may have been a look at the season coming up, just before the start of last season and Jenny was interviewed, pictured with her new bike etc so I'm pretty sure it wasnt far off, even by their standards....
Anyhoo..... Just watched the end of that second race again and blimey, how much did Hickman want that.... |

I agree...Jenny is there to promote female riders, she is a hell of a good rider ..at club level not BSB, I can't see her doing any better than second or third from last regardless of what she rides. She was bloody quick on the 125, midfield on the 600 but out of her depth on the big stuff, I would love to see her do well but 5 seconds a lap behind the fast lads is light years away. BSB is a hard world. Greg

See the pbm ducati have the under seat exhausts not the same as the wsbk ones probably because they can use louder system
Still look nice though. And why is Stapleford back in bsb is it a quest ride or has his team got rid of him as he wasn't doing so good? |
