After no luck starting bike, going to try a new battery, what one do people recommend, see ap sell the upgrade yuasa? Is this still worth going for or is lith ion the way, I normally have on a trickle charger as don’t get out as much as would like, which would mean a new charger to, if go the yuasa route could stretch to upgraded cables aswell?
Also when swapping battery is there a wrong or right way?? Don’t want clocks resetting etc

Lithium battery, set of John boy's uprated cables and the later 150a solenoid. Sorted, then throw the optimiser in the bin where it belongs. THERE IS NO NEED!!!!

Tip for changing the cables, specifically the starter end. The connector or rather the nut could quite likely be all crudded up and if you apply to much torque it can turn the stud damaging things inside the starter. I found the best option is to cut the nut off with a small saw or dremmel. No big deal if you skim the stud slightly, I used a new brass nut afterwards before filling the protector cap with silicone grease and fitting it to seal out any future moisture.
