Then I'll get in touch with the organiser and get the dates and costs!

Well up for this !!

running a poll for the date sounds like a good idea, in the meantime is there some sort of witchcraft we can conjure up to guarantee a dry day? ;-)

Having read through the entire thread again (obviously I'm a little excited) I'm gonna add my 2 pence worth;

The poll is great but not everyone who says I'm in will attend as location, date & cost will not suit all. From experience it's much easier to pick in advance & roll with it but if we are going with the poll for location I would not then go with a poll for date as it just won't work.

Only a few dates for the early part of the year have been released but looking at them, Oulton & Donnington are £150 up. Brands, Cadwell & Snetterton can be done for £100 & under with double headers at £150 up. Personaly i'd rather do 2 trackdays as a forum season opener & closer?

If were gonna spend big then this would be my choice as not many days held on the GP circuit;

Does anyone have a contact at any of the organisers to ask for a group discount? If not, once a location & date has been agreed I'm more than happy to ask!

People are starting to greedy now I think,I got 3 days at RAF Valley for that last year Smile

Even Anglesey were around £80 early season not long ago,now they're about the same as Oulton etc.

This is why I always go for the Snett doubles, £170 for 2 days, against £150 per day for Donny, Oulton etc.

I've just been told the list is out for the first RAF Valley w/ender of the year but I haven't received it yet.

Got to be one of the better value days I reckon,£50 a day or £100 for the w/end and although it's a temporary circuit the tarmac is unbelievably grippy and there are no noise limits at all.

there's no noise limits as its a twat to fit a silencer to a jet turbine. Really fancy the valley weekend, just have 'orrible memories of the weather on the isle. We went there 2 years back, saturday was glorious, sunday was horizontal rain. My tent was flooded and bent double by the wind. Ended up taking my kit out of it, then drove over the bloody thing and put it in a wheeli bin.

It was the same this time last year,Sat was good up until mid afternoon when we got monsoon rain and high winds,I was going to stay out there but decided to go home instead.

Come Sun morning the clouds were on the ground and rain was horizontal but the weather radar showed it was going to clear up by the afternoon and sure enough we were on track at 13:45 and it was almost bone dry,still very windy though.

Worth going back out for on Sun though as we went with only 2 sessions to maximise time on track.

Is it only me, or do you find, on longer sessions that you get tired, sort of can't wait for the flag to come out? Could be I suppose that when i've had them they're at the end of the day usually, and i'm knackered. Could be i'm just an old fart now!Smile

Last double last year I did a 55 minute session on an OPL day, only came in as I was the last person on track, the chequered flag came out, and Mille had started the splutter as I was out of fuel, but I wanted to keep going. Got into pits, and Andijoe, Heath & Warnz were already packed up!

No matter what fitness lever you're at, after a long day on a litre bike is pretty tiring, what with the excitement and if it's a hot day can be draining, most accidents happen second to last or last session ..

I quite often feel the same,and I rarely do the final session of the day,or if I do I usually pull in early.

The trouble with track days generally is I have to be in the mood to ride hard,and if I've booked a date a month or two in advance there's no guarantee I'll feel like going round and round all day.

Depends who's around me really I suppose,someone slightly in front is always going to act as a magnet.LOL
