Without a doubt the best bike I've ever clapped eyes on...it's done in a matt finish as well and it just looks incredible.... £72,000 and worth every penny😍😍😍

It's just a work of art Mark, left me drooling and I had to keep going back to it.
You wouldn't think that the matt finish and slightly different shade of Ducati red would make much of a difference but it was just stunning, and then when you just drink in all of the details, the carbon bodywork, the carbon Swingarm, the wheels, that exhaust.... just wow .

Exquisitely pretty in my eyes. Thumbs Up

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though, I s'pose.

I like the way that the Ducatis look properly aggressive. Sadly (and I really don't mean to offend anyone whatsoever), the RSV4's don't do it for me in the looks department, unless you lose the headlights (preferably with carbon race fairings). Then it becomes more of a looker.

Question everything.

Like cars bikes have become pretty much all spawned by the same cad brief, very little to choose between them these days.

There's nothing out there atm that would tempt me to buy it,it's all an advertising frenzy

As for that particular bike, looks quite nice in a custom,no expense spared sort of way.

Pity that 99.9 something % of the riding population couldn't afford it or much less would be capable of riding it properly even if they could.

Still a long way to go to compete with the 916 in the style stakes

Bet , like me Ian, you could stand at the end of your street once and know every vehicle
before you say it by a certain sound , like a Moggy `falling`into second or the air cooled
Gerry`s . Even new Rollers .. .. tyre noise only !! Like you say getting blander by the day.
Wind tunnels got a lot to answer for me thinks. As for the bikes it`s always been kind of
"can afford .. can`t ride " and visa versa .. By the way did you avoid the hurricane the other day Thumbs Up

Yes thanks, weather sort of passes me by working the shifts I do now.

The sound of a moggy 'falling' into second LOL    Oh how I remember the sound and feel of that

If you dismiss the advertising claims (lies) about most things these days the average punter is much better off keeping their wallet closed.

Most of the advertising crap is "x grams lighter and so and so managed to get round track X  @ 1/2 a second quicker "

Mister average is never going to notice or get withing 15 seconds of that lap time even if they got the chance

Getting very cynical and disillusioned in my old age Wink

Yeh, I think if somebody's paid 72 grand for a bike they aren't going to be turning many spanners themselves (or even know what a spanner is ).

Each to their own and all that, beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc etc, but to me, this bike is just exquisite... everywhere you look it's just near on perfect and soooooooo trick it's untrue.
Yeh, I'm never going to be able to afford one and I'd never be anywhere near good enough to even scratch the surface of its performance potential if I ever did get one but doesn't stop me lusting after it.
Very few bikes nowadays really make me stop and take a second look, and I still love all bikes, but this thing just kept dragging me back for another butchers and actually made me feel sad that I'd never own one...and that's about as much praise as I can give a bike I think.
It's totally out of my league pricewise , way too powerful, would bankrupt you if you dropped it, and would probably need a second mortgage to pay the service costs and all that makes me want it even more....
Better to have something you don't need than need something you don't have....

Bike lust is a part of being a biker I think. In the blood.

Like when you just started in bikes and there was always a bike you really wanted, but was out of reach on your meager wages! You'd imagine what it would be like to ride etc. But then you slowly work your way up the ladder to bigger bikes and better wages. There's still many out of reach, but you could afford something decent 2nd hand.

I think I always want to want bikes I'll never have or afford. Something to daydream about etc
Question everything.
